For those who might want a transcript of Sproul's 'Let's suppose' reasoning in this talk, just google R. C. Sproul and "Let's suppose". Worked for me. Excellent message. Thank you Dr. Craig.

I really enjoyed listening to this message. I was not drawn to Jesus by the historical evidence for his death and resurrection, his deity and the realiability of the scriptures, important though they be. Rather, it was His love, which was first manifest in the lives of Christians around me that drew me in love to the Saviour. It was not historical facts that caused me to commit my life to Him, but Christ's loving heart that first gripped my soul and and reached out in mercy to form a relationship with me. God said, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; Theregfore, with lovingkindness I've drawn you (Jeremiah 31:3).

Ray, I'm so sorry to hear you have an eye problem. Whilst we disagree on most things I hope you are not in too much discomfort and hope also there is some treatment that can help things improve.

All the best.

Thank you, Rob. I am receiving treatment for the problem.

I haven't heard anything from R.C. Sproul for a number of years, but this was pretty good. I remember reading The Holiness of God and kind of being turned off by the Calvinistic presuppositions that kept surfacing in the book, so I never read R.C. Sproul much after that. However, I still agree with the man on many of the basics of the faith, including what he has shared here.

Ok, googled RC Sproul-- found plenty on him.
Did Let's Suppose, and RC Sproul, and found nothing.
Is it a book, a sermon, an article?

Someone got a link?

Maybe your google is routed through China. :) When I googled [ R. C. Sproul "Let's suppose" ] I get the link third from the top to an article/sermon by Rev. John Samson who quotes Sproul. The article states the original source as Sproul's book _Reason to Believe_. Here's the link. Hope it helps.

R. C. Sproul, an outstanding Christian theologian and teacher, offers much EXCELLENT material and is easy to find at:

Sproul's story, almost a parable (but actually true), quoted by Dr. Craig is thought-provoking and very good. Minor constructive criticism: The language of a few of the "Supposes" could be better. E.g., "When He discovered their violation" (i.e., after some period of time?) is an odd manner of speaking about God, who is omniscient. I suggest, "When they violated His commandment . . . ." However, "discovered" here may be regarded as a figure of speech (poetic license?) that is rhetorically OK, although theologically and philosophically unsatisfactory.

There is no way all life on earth was created by ONE single designer.

11. dullhammer says on Feb 13, 2010 @ 08:14 AM:

If one can believe all life on earth was ultimately created by a single cosmic BANG, certainly it should be within one's grasp to believe (also) in the living God, creator of all that is. And, back on topic, what's so difficult in saying, "Let's suppose . . ." just for a minute and following Sproul to his point?

This world is going to get a "Big Bang" one of these days, but it will not create equisite beauty, order and complexity from chaos (via an explosion).
